It's easy to talk and say something; we blabber about incessantly all the time. But to speak and say something that holds any real meaning, well, that's a bit of a challenge.
Liz Strauss over at Successful Blog is hosting a 25 Words of Wisdom Project wherein you're supposed to write something inspiring in as little as 25 words (not more).
So far, she's inspired a lot of fellow bloggers across the blog-o-sphere to write pieces of their own and inspiring they are! Here's one by a fellow friend and blogger of mine Christine Taylor (also known as mousewords):
"It’s not enough to have, you also need to hold.
Whether love, talents, or possessions—
Love must be enjoyed,
Talents and possessions used.Take action." -- Christine Taylor (a.k.a. mousewords)

Thank you Christine. I can always count on you to write something inspiring/motivating for the rest of us!

Note: Every Sunday I will post an inspiring Quote of the Day.
Hi Ricardo - that's a brilliant one. I'm really enjoying reading the entries for Liz's challenge. I didn't get mine done in time, which is a shame as it was an excellent idea.

@Cath Lawson: Hi there Cath, thanks for visiting! Aren't the entries from Liz's challenge simply amazing? There have been so many great entries compiled together. This one was one of my favorite because it really hits home with what I'm trying to convey through my writing here. I didn't get my entry done either but we should all still work on saying more in less words. Ya know what I mean?
Thanks for visiting Cath. Hope to see you again soon...

I saw Randy Pausch, the author of The Last Lecture, on TV playing catch with a signed football. He's dying, so what good is a football that will just sit on a shelf? I loved that moment.
"Love must be enjoyed,
Talents and possessions used."
Amen.

Christine did a kick ass job. I digg the concept of writing something inspirational in 25 words or less. I doubt I would be able to keep anything I write THAT short or to the point.

@Momo Fali: I hear you... Christine really hit home with this quote, didn't she?
Thanks for visiting...
@Meleah: Like Momo Fali said, "Amen!" I like the concept of saying more with less too but like you, I find it difficult to do sometimes :-/
Though this piece you wrote was short and sheer brilliance: http://mommamiameaculpa.com/?p=1077

This is a really exciting concept - the 25 word inspirational saying - and more challenging than one might think!
Thanks for stopping by Write On Wednesday :)
Hope you'll return and join the conversation!

@Becca: Right back at ya! You and I share the same point-of-view when it comes to the conversations we hold in & around the blog-o-sphere. See you around!

Hi there Ricardo - Christine's words certainly are beautiful - and "hold real meaning"!
Thanks for putting me on to some interesting blogs - Robin

@Robin: That's what blogging is all about...sharing in the interesting conversations the blog-o-sphere has to offer! I happen to think that Christine (a.k.a. mousewords) is one of those interesting conversations :-)

I agree that the 25 word challenge was interesting. I didn't hear about it until it was too late, so I left my 25 words in the comments section at Tom Volkar's blog, Delightful Work. I'm not one of those people who talks and talks, but I do have a tendency to write really long posts. Sometimes it's good to be reminded that profound things can be said with fewer words.

@Marelisa: I used to write for a social network and I had this friend of mine who said to me once: "we're friends right? Good. Cuz I wanna tell you something. Your posts are just too damn long! I mean I like you, I really do...but trim it down would ya?" Lol. Believe it or not, this was a compliment. She's praised me so many times and I appreciated her feedback. I'd like to think that I've since gotten better.
As for the 25 word challenge, I missed it too! But it's not too late to submit an entry. It's great that you left one over at Tom's blog; did you leave it on Liz's too? She's updated her post with any new entries.
