I can't begin to tell you how applicable this is to Twitter! Want to know the secret to getting more followers? Be interesting. Be relevant. Stop broadcasting "me, me, me" all the time and then you'll notice that you're finally gettin' somewhere.

Always a great thing to remember! It's so easy to talk about yourself on places like Twitter but it's also easy to do otherwise. I find questions to answer, I find people asking others opinions, and I chime in!
It's a virtual handshake, you give and take. Too many people on Twitter are just making "noise", I think. You have to have a conversation with others!

i don't like when people talk business all the time on twitter, that's so boring. i want to know what you are doing...i need a break from being sold to. just want to chat and know what's on your mind. some articles that people tweet are good, but let people know you are human and you don't have work on the brain. tell me something else, been at work all day, don't want to hear about any more nothing, but mindless talk. :)
