You'll notice I made some minor changes to the sidebar over the weekend; one of them being adding a Podcast Page to the site.
See, here's the thing...I've always been an inquiring individual. I like to know what makes successful people tick. I like to know how people got to where they are and why they do the things that they do (why are they so good at it? What motivates them?). And whether that involved meeting them at a conference or picking up the phone and trying to get past their secretary, there I was, making the connection and getting that knowledge for my own advancement.
Well, today I want to do something different... Rather than keep that knowledge to myself for my own selfish advancement, I'm going to make it available here via the newsletter and podcast. But I need your help in order to make it work. So, I'll ask you again:
What do you want to learn?
What blogging tips are you most interesting in learning about (how to use video, podcasting, monetizing your site, affiliate products, using social networks effectively)?
Who would you like to hear from?
Speak up and tell me (drop a comment below)! And if you want to get a look at upcoming interviews, just visit the podcast page here.
Thank you for your feedback! I'll talk to you all soon...

Looks to me that everyone turns to wordpress as their blogging software of choice. But, I've found a Real Estate Agent who uses Typepad and has been using it for 3 years! Yup, three full years and, well, she's an Authority Blogger!
I asked her why she uses typepad and her response was:
"because content is the most important part of a blog and I want to spend my time generating it intead of installing plugins" -- http://www.twitter.com/tboard
I've asked Teresa Boardman to come onboard and talk to us about her blog, what she's doing to Rock It and generate business. I'll be adding her to the agenda... If you have any photo questions, drop a comment and let me know. She does one heck of a job incorporating the photo element to her site!

Also to be added:
- Phenom. real estate blogger Ines Hegedus-Garcia, author of http://www.miamism.com, and
- Patrick O'Keefe, author of http://www.managingonlinecommunities.com, and
- Mobil Marketing Specialist Kim Dushinski where we'll talk about what mobile marketing is and opportunities for it in 2009...
Care to here from anyone else?

Interesting comment by Teresa, with Wordpress changing and making plugin installation easier and quicker among other improvements. I'm curious about her other reasons for using typepad. :)

@Miguel: believe me...I'm curious too! We've discussed this to some extent via twitter and over email and there are points we both agree on. What I find most interesting is that she's considered an Authority Blogger in Real Estate and she did it through her "Tyepad" blog whilst everyone else is using wordpress.
I want to know how she did it. What made it work out so well? I'll definitely ask her on the call.

Everything you mentioned will be good topics for discussion. I'm interested in what to blog about that will bring comments. It seems to be a hit and miss thing for me and I can get discouraged.

@Marianne: one thing that you'll come to learn is that often times, Real Estate blogs receive fewer comments than any other type of blog. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that people aren't reading, it's just difficult for some to comment on a Market Report or other similar issues.
However, it looks to me like you want a casual/business balance between the content that you post. If that's the case, you should be fine getting some of the lurkers to come out and have some fun on your site.
Thanks for follow up Marianne! Will talk to you soon...
