The Facebook Fan Box is a pretty cool feature! What it does is it allows Facebook Page admins the ability to embed their latest page activity straight onto their website or blog. To access the feature, simply look below your profile photo on your Facebook Page and you'll see a link that read: "Add Fan Box to your site"
As you can see, the box will display all of your latest page updates as well as render photos of your "fans" right below. The other neat feature is that folks can become subscribe to your page straight from the Fan Box; all they gotta do is click on the link at the top (no need to open a new tab or window).
Creative Uses:
- I can see Events like Inman Real Estate Connect and RETechSouth embedding this on their event sites as a way to connect site visitors to their respective communities on Facebook.
- Local Real Estate Companies, Realtors and community blogs like Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate®, The Corcoran Group, Heather Elias, and Rain City Guide can do the same.
Why?
Because Facebook ranks as the top U.S. social network based on time spent on site which means the more subscribers (I think that's a better word than "fans") you have, the more number of people whose home-page status stream you have access to. Think: top-of-mind marketing.
So what do you think? Do you see some creative uses for the Facebook Fan Box?

I didn't know about this, thanks so much for sharing. I like this feature so much, I just created a fan page for Modite. I also added the Alice.com fan page box to our Alice blog. Cool!

Brad: thank you sir.
Rebecca: I thought you might like it. Especially for the Alice Page too... Speaking of which, can you send me those links?
