Mike Long is a client here at the Real Estate Tomato; he authors MikeLongRealty.com. Anyway, during our training session today we were talking about property slideshows. Animoto came into the conversation and BAM! Look what Mike put together...
Matt Dollinger at TheYouFactor.com put these together:
Whadya think?
At the Inman Real Estate Connect Conference in San Francisco, somebody made the comment that Animoto doesn't do a very good job of putting together clean, easy to watch property slideshows.
I disagree.
I happen to be of the opinion that this property slideshow is pretty awesome (of course this was just a test-run) and just think of the "Wow Factor" when prospective clients see this as part of your marketing strategy. The thing to remember is that the slideshow plays with the tempo of the music so a lighter tune will definitely render the photos much better at final cut.
But anyway, what do you think? How does this slideshow look?
Thumbs up. Were these professional shots, or agent taken?

Carolynn: you know, that's a good question...I'm not entirely sure.

Those were professional photos. If you get the paid version you can speed up the slideshow or slow it down from what it originally comes up with. You can also select from 3 different embed code sizes for easy posting. Literally, in less than ten minutes you can sign up and have a animoto video on your blog or anywhere else you would want to put it. Good stuff. I see agents being able to use this if they pick the right song.

Mike: In under 10 minutes eh? Talk about simple. Again, I'm a big fan of tools that make it simple to do things. Just sayin'...

Hey Ricardo,
Thanks for highlighting our stuff. The one with the home was made using the VHT professional photos that the agent paid to have taken.
The second one created by my fiancee @homepartner (aka Amanda McMillan) was done using screengrabs primarily using Snagit by techsmith. The really sweet part of Animoto is that it has a direct YouTube feed for your page which is awesome for SEO.

Matt: I gotta say, been lovin' Animoto a lot lately. And it's great to see how some real estate agents are incorporating the technology to create some really awesome videos out of it. In my opinion, the more creativity is instilled in your marketing, the better! And this is great...

Eric: I hope some of these examples were helpful! I just really like how Animoto creates really fun/dynamic slideshows.
Other options of course are: 1. Real Estate Shows, 2. Picnik (as you suggested), 3. Flickr, 4. Slide.com.
Either way, I hope you give Animoto a try. If and when you do, come back to this post and share a link to what you put together :-)
